Love Apple Farm’s Tomato Seed Contest

February 1, 2010
By Amy

Another gardening-related contest arrived in my inbox today!

5 people will win tomato seeds by leaving a “nice” comment on one of the posts on Cynthia Sandberg’s beautiful blog, Grow Better Veggies. Five people will be chosen at random to with a three-pack of rare tomato seeds from TomatoFest.com.

As Cynthia says in her latest e-mail newsletter, TomatoFest.com is

a fabulous on-line resource for over 600 different types of heirloom tomato seeds.

Sounds like a great contest to enter!

Done! I'm not sure how the contest works, however, because I can't find any reference to it at her site. Do we have to post there, then come back and post here to let you know? Anyway, I have been wanting for years to make real tomato cages like she's demonstrating… maybe this is the year I have the energy and resourcefulness! Thanks for this reminder that spring WILL be here someday. :-)

    Hi Jennifer,

The contest was announced in Cynthia's newsletter that she e-mails out every once in awhile, not on her site. Seven weeks until spring officially arrives!

Yep. You have to be one of my email newsletter subscribers to get in on my contests. If you go to my website, there's a block on the right column to subscribe. I give away seats to my gardening classes, worm castings, other vegetable seeds, and more with each newsletter. http://www.GrowBetterVeggies.com

    Thanks!

I hope some folks decide to sign up for your newsletter, Cynthia. I always enjoy receiving it!

I'm in the midst of planning a new site for tomatoes this year… I struggle with finding enough sunlight here. If my new site doesn't work, then I'll have to garden "elsewhere. :-)

I'm just starting to think about which varieties I'm going to grow this year, and trying to decide if I'm going to grow 'em myself from seed or try to track them down as seedlings later on.

What kind are you hoping to grow?
