What’s blooming this week here in Southern Ontario?
This perennial geranium was given to me as a cutting by my mother-in-law. It’s very vigorous, and smells wonderful, all citrus and spice.
My comfrey plant was a gift from my friend Kelly. I planted it next to the rain barrel, in hopes it would help disguise it a little bit.
The delicate blooms of an early-blooming speedwell grow in the flower bed beneath the red maple. I forget the name of this variety.
The old standby, bleeding heart, highlights an otherwise darker corner of the yard. My white bleeding heart is also doing well this year.
This bergenia, planted by my mom at the back of the yard, is spectacular this year.
Not all of the blooms are pink right now…this false lamium has a pretty, understated, yellow flower.
Come on back next week to see what’s blooming!

How lovely! I keep seeing bleeding heart (Dicentra) on blogs from around the world. We have several native Dicentras here in Calif. but I must say I miss this plant from my days living on the east coast of the US. I also love your scented geranium. In fact, I have one of those here too. Lookin’ good!

I just joined Green Thumb Sunday today, and followed the link from there to your blog. I love seeing what grows in other parts of the world (I’m in the Seattle area, USA) and I really enjoyed seeing what’s growing in your garden. The bleeding heart is so dainty and pretty. Thanks for sharing!
