A couple of weeks ago I posted on Meal Plan Monday that we’d be having sweet potato fries with our veggie burgers for supper. A fellow blogger commented on that post, asking about the seasoning I was planning to use on the taters. I told her to stay tuned for a later post about them. Here’s that post!
When I make sweet potato fries, I use the same sort of procedure that I use for my Herbed Potatoes.
Peel and cut up some sweet potatoes. You can cut them into cubes or into the traditional shape of french fries or wedges…whatever works for you.
There are four smallish sweet potatoes in this batch, just to give you an idea how many you’ll get.
Pour in a splash of extra virgin olive oil, coarse salt and freshly cracked pepper, and a spice blend of your choice. For cajun sweet potato fries, use a spice blend such as Club House Cajun One Step Seasoning. Toss so that spice is evenly distributed on the potatoes.

Spread out on a cookie sheet. I like to put a piece of parchment paper down first, which makes it easier to clean up after dinner.
Bake at 350 to 375 degrees in the middle rack of the oven until fork-tender. These fries won’t be crispy like traditional french fries, but the texture is still very nice. When the edges begin to brown, the sugars in the potatoes are released, making them chewy and sweet.

(It’s hard to believe there’s no meat in that burger, isn’t it?)

Thanks for the update! I’ve been keeping an eye out for it. These fries look wonderful; we’ll be trying them out tomorrow!
