Funny. I never thought about that before. I just break them wherever I can reach. My plants are doing insanely well. I don’t think I’m going to bother planting spinach next year. It bolts too quickly while the chard happily chugs along all season.
Yum, chard. My parents grew this in their yard. It’s one of my favorite things to eat. Just don’t see it much. And when you mention it, people say what’s chard ?
