Let the record show that our first frost this year took place on the morning of October 29. Late! Beautiful and sad.

I’ve been afraid to look outside this morning – I suspect we’ve had our first frost in Boston, too.
I’m just discovering your gardening blog. I’m quite excited about this. I’ve been thinking about starting one for a while (yeah, as soon as I find time heh).
I’m so glad to have a gardening blog role model.
Beautiful pics!
I don’t think we’ve had a frost yet, but we’ve gotten close. These pictures are stunning! Makes me want a frost so — oh yeah, you’d have to have live plants in your garden in order for them to look like this… Shoot.
What beautiful pictures…I love that you wrote “beautiful and sad” because it is such a mixed feeling! Here in Central Ohio, we really haven’t had a hard frost yet, and I know that it will be painful to see my fledgling garden freeze! But yet, there is something so peaceful and quiet about your frosted plants that is beautiful!
How interesting that Modesto has already had first frost, but Sacramento + Folsom have not. And it’s not in the forecast!
