Over the weekend I visited several local gardens as part of the Bowmanville Fall Glory Garden Tour with my friend, Sarah. We saw many beautiful gardens, but agreed that the crème de la crème was the second home on the tour.
The owners seemed to value their privacy, so I will not reveal their names or address. However, I do want to share with you one photograph I took, with permission, in their yard. The garden was surrounded by a heavy, dense, dark cedar wood. The boughs swayed in the early fall breeze, and added an element of enchantment to the property.
Much inspiration must simply ooze from the woods into the garden.
