We’ve successfully eliminated plastic bags while shopping by using cloth bags. At Loblaws, No Frills and Real Canadian Superstore, if you use cloth bags instead of plastic, and pay with your President’s Choice bank account or MasterCard, you’ll earn 50 PC Points for each bag you use.
However, for the last several months I’ve been saying to Graham as we shopped for groceries that I wished there was some alternative to using clear plastic bags to buy produce. Now there is!
I was so happy when Jen told me that Grass Roots sells these awesome reusable mesh produce bags at the astounding price of $1.95 for 10.
That’s it! There is no longer any reason to use plastic when shopping for groceries.

I was going to buy these as part of a Christmas gift, but the shipping charges of over $13 was too much! Great idea, but I can’t justify paying more that much for S&H!
