Zucchinipalooza

by Amy on July 19, 2007

What did I tell you? The zucchini madness has begun. It started two days ago when I picked the first two…one each of the grey and black beauty zucchinis I’m growing. Two days later there are another six ready to go.

Just so you can compare, here are some links to photos of the two different kinds of plants. They’re both very beautiful…I can’t decide which one I like best.

Mmm. These look delicious. What are you going to do with them?

Hi – I can’t grow zucchini. I’m a long time gardener but cannot grow squash. The plant and blossoms are awesome but the zukes get about 2-2 1/2″ long then blossom shrivels and that end starts to yellow, shrivel up till I pluck it off. I’ve tried a bazillion things from other people, to no avail. It’s not a watering, weather or lack of problem – I’ve done it all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much!
