The local rabbit population must be hungry, because several times over the last couple of weeks there have been fresh footprints in the snow in the morning.  These were on the deck this morning.

Last spring I was very frustrated when it became obvious our yard was the local salad bar for the rabbits in the area.  We successfully trapped and moved two, but I have a feeling I’m going to have to continue to try to “bunny-proof” this spring.

Good luck! last year we had a family (5 babies) in the grass around my septic tank. Every time I mowed the lawn they’d scatter around the yard–and my wife worried I’d hit them.

A friend of mine had baby rabbits on his lawn, and whenever he mowed the lawn he’d put a bucket over them! It must have seemed scary to them under there.
