Last night the veggies came home from work with me. I got basil (I want to make pesto this summer so I planted all four in a row), purple basil for the new herb bed, leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, English cucumber, green zucchini, and jalapeno peppers. I planted everything when I got home.
Tonight I put my little tomato plants that I grew from seed out as well. I covered them with clay pots upside-down before I came in for the evening in case we get rain tonight. They are still sort of delicate and I want to protect them. I planted them fairly deeply so that more roots will grow from the stem. If they grow well I will be so proud!
I also bought a banana plant and put it in a pot. I want to see how big that sucker will grow in one summer!
