Mystery

by Amy on May 1, 2004

Every year there seems to be a garden mystery begging to be solved.

This popped out of the ground recently…maybe I rescued something from Canadian Tire at the end of the season last year and didn’t expect it to survive. Nonetheless, I have no idea what it is. If you do, let me know!

Our front lawn is sprinkled with loads of pretty, pale purple wild violets. It will break my heart to mow them down!

Having fun in the greenhouse at my new job…my hands are taking a beating, though. The tips of my fingers are getting calloused from lugging around flats of heavy plants. I’m not complaining, though. I’m loving every minute of being there. Learning lots. This week I made some new friends: Dianthus, Ligularia, and Liatris, to name a few.
