I started some lavendar, rosemary, purple basil, thyme and oregano again today. They didn’t do too well in the jiffy pellets, although many did survive. I want to see if they will fare better in a soil mix instead. I have lots of seeds and lots of soil so I might as well see what will happen. I also got some pretty burgundy morning glory seeds and I have them soaking in a paper towel in a baggie in the window, mini greenhouse-style.
Today I bought Miracle-Gro houseplant fertilizer sticks and some violet plant food. I want those violets to bloom! Miracle-Gro sticks are good for 60 days. June 26 is the next date to fertilize.
Nasturtiums are going crazy! Already I can see roots through the bottom.
Tomatoes are growing their second set of tiny true leaves. Soon I will be able to transplant them into their very own pots. I want to know if I should be fertilizing the seedlings. I’m so afraid to kill them! I don’t know if Miracle-Gro is appropriate food for them or not. Must research.
